A.J. McKee looked to make it a Bellator sweep against Roberto de Souza at Bellator vs. Rizin. The first round saw de Souza working quite a few submission attempts, mostly from his back as McKee tried to find space to strike from on top. McKee did land far more shots than de Souza but de Souza was the one working harder with multiple submission attempts.
The second round saw a bit more striking from McKee, landing a solid knee, but de Souza was able to take McKee’s back and work some more submission attempts from his own back. McKee was able to get out of the hold, however, and connected with a nasty soccer kick that looked to shake de Souza.
A.J. McKee had a highlight real moment at the end
The third round opened up with de Souza throwing bombs, but they felt more desperate than intended. McKee nearly ended the fight with a nasty choke of his own, followed by de Souza once again attempting his own. de Souza was able to get a standing rare naked, but McKee flipped forward with de Souza on his back and planted the Brazilian on the top of his head. It was the highlight of the fight by far.
McKee did enough to get a unanimous decision, earning the clean sweep.
