Actor Lance Reddick has died at the age of 60, according to Variety. A renowned performer, Reddick was known for carrying strong gravitas in supporting roles, and was best known for appearing in shows like The Wire and Lost. He also appeared in every film in the John Wick franchise as The Continental hotel’s concierge, Charon. John Wick: Chapter 4 will release on March 24.
Reddick had been doing press for the forthcoming John Wick movie, and was scheduled to appear on The Kelly Clarkson Show next week, according to TMZ. He did not attend the John Wick: Chapter 4 premiere in New York City on Wednesday, but did post a video from his home across his social media platforms.

In addition to the John Wick series, Reddick also appeared in numerous feature films, including Godzilla vs. Kong and One Night In Miami. He made his name as a regular on television, though, playing key regular roles in dramas like The Wire and Bosch, sci-fi like Fringe and Lost, and even comedies like Corporate.
Reddick was a prolific performer who managed to own the screen whenever he was on it; whether he was sharing scenes with Keanu Reeves or Ian McShane in the John Wick films, Anna Torv in Fringe, or Wendell Pierce in The Wire, he always gave off a very particular charm that left viewers with smiles on their faces.
In addition to John Wick: Chapter 4, Reddick will also have posthumous roles in the John Wick spinoff Ballerina, the White Men Can’t Jump remake, and as Zeus in the Disney+ series Percy Jackson and the Olympians.
His cause of death is unknown, but TMZ is reporting that it “appears to be” due to natural causes.

Lance Reddick was an beautiful and compelling actor. And a beautiful person. He worked with my mom Anne Meara in her play “Afterplay”, playing Raziel, the waiter slash angel of death. He was exquisite in that and all he did.
