BOWLING GREEN, Ky.-Med Center Health is celebrating the 31st Women in the Arts exhibit this Friday and Saturday!
Dozens of art pieces from female artists in the commonwealth will be on display in the WKU Health Sciences Complex from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The pieces include paintings, sculptures, ceramics, works on paper, fiber works and photography.
This event is a way to provide female artists with the opportunity to showcase their work.
“I think it’s just neat to showcase women in general. We sometimes take a backseat to a lot of things so being able to showcase what our talents are is really important,” said Med Center Health Director of Community Wellness Sarah Widener.
Awards given during the exhibit are the Special Purchase, Cash Merit, Honorable Mention and Artworks Award.
