Tracking the potential for a few severe storms this week
Good Wednesday Evening! After another frosty, chilly morning across the area, we’re in for another chilly night with the potential for frost in a few areas. The good news…temperatures won’t dip quite as far as this morning.
Tomorrow also looks nice, temperatures begin to surge as winds kick in from the south. We’ll stay dry during the daylight hours, too. A few showers will likely creep in during the overnight hours, though.
Friday is the interesting weather day. A wave of energy along the west-coast will spin across the continent and push rainy and windy weather into our weather world.
The storm prediction center has outlined the threat for a few severe storms. Damaging winds are the main threat but there is also a risk for isolated tornadoes. The timeframe is Friday evening into Saturday as another cold front tracks through the region. The power-house low will continue to steer in gusty winds even when the skies dry out early Saturday…
Temperatures cool off a bit on Saturday, with highs only rising to the low 60s but we’ll quickly return to the 70s by the time most of us go back to work Monday. We’ll also see another chance for a few storms early next week.
